40th Space Symposium
7 – 10 APRIL 2025
COLORADO SPRINGS, UNITED STATES
The 40th Space Symposium, one of the international events dedicated to space exploration and technologies, organized by the Space Foundation, took place in Colorado Springs (CO, United States) from April 7-10, 2025. The event is an opportunity to delve into emerging trends in the sector and participate in technical debates on innovative solutions that can redefine the capabilities of space missions and brings together representatives from space agencies, government and military institutions, global entrepreneurship and experts in the field. The Symposium kicked off with the Space Generation Fusion Forum (SGFF), where the IAF Executive Director Christian Feichtinger addressed students and young professionals. His speech empowered the next generation of space leaders and further strengthened IAF’s ongoing collaboration with the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). The second day was highlighted by a Salon Breakfast, organized by the IAF, titled “Connecting @ll Space People for a Sustainable Future.” Moderated by Christian Feichtinger, the event featured prominent speakers such as Josef Aschbacher (European Space Agency), Steve Eisenhart (Space Foundation), Clay Mowry (IAF), and Enrico Palermo (Australian Space Agency). This informal gathering offered an opportunity for colleagues to connect, share ideas, and share a warm invitation to attend the 76ᵗʰ International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2025) in Sydney, Australia, from 29 September to 3 October 2025.
