GEO Ministerial Summit

During the GEO Ministerial on 6 November 2023, the IAF, in its statement, addressed the GEO Ministerial Summit on the contributions by IAF to GEO/GEOSS and its future. First, as a GEO Participating Organization since 2014, IAF congratulated the efforts of GEO Members and Participating Organizations in finalizing the GEO Strategic Plan and supports the post-2025 strategy focusing on “Earth Intelligence for All”. Second, the IAF reiterated its continuous efforts to contribute to strengthening the advocacy and role to promote GEO’s key objectives - including areas such as climate change and disaster management – to stakeholders around the world.
The IAF organized a showcase session to deliver the findings, recommendations, and actions from the IAF Global Space Conference on Climate Change (GLOC 2023) which were also presented at a Highlight Lecture of the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2023) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
