Elisabetta Lamboglia

Elisabetta Lamboglia is a professional working for the European Space Agency since 2006.
MSc in Space System Engineering (2006), she also has been part of the ISU ssp09 experience at NASA Ames (2009), which Team Project focused on Space Systems Applications for Disaster Risk Management and which customer was the World Bank. In 2015 Elisabetta post-graduated in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
In the past decade, she has developed relevant expertise in Earth Observation systems, cost, programmatic, evaluations, dialogues and negotiation. She is author of several international peer reviewed papers and book. From March 2022 to June 2023, she was nominated Climate and Sustainability Leader for the ESA Strategy, Foresight and Coordination. In this role, she was Arrhenius Study manager, and she led the ESA Sustainability Strategy for EGA, the Decarbonisation Working Group, and Climate Action, LCA, and Green Technologies. She represented ESA in collaborations with the European Commission and European Union Agency for the Space Programme on Green Deal Ambitions related to Space and Environmental Policy. Space sector representative in international fora, she is currently leading projects, focusing on AI and data simulation R&D for EO downstream applications and commercialisation, together with her doctoral research achievement in Geoinformation.
