Xi’an Aerospace Propulsion Institute • Vice Chief Engineer

Dr. Chen Hui is the Research Professor and Vice Chief Designer of Chinese heavy lift launch vehicle in Xi’an Aerospace Propulsion Institute, China. He received Ph. D. degree in Aerospace Propulsion Technology from CALT in 2009, and the M. Eng. and B. Eng. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2003 and 1992. respectively. He joined the Xi’an Aerospace Propulsion Institute as engineer in 1992. He has successively served as the director of Turbopump R&D Department and the director of Engine General Deign Department. His research work includes large thrust liquid rocket engine with staged combustion cycles, fault diagnosis and health management system, turbopump for liquid oxygen/kerosene engine, turbopump for upper stage engines using hydrogen peroxide, special pumps for fuel feed system, mechanism and control of fluid-induced vibration.
