Jay Kim is the CEO and Chairman of Boryung. Kim is addressing the 'space' as a domain of future growth for the constant advancement of humanity and is expanding Boryung's business area beyond traditional pharma business to the space healthcare sector.

As more people will visit and stay longer in space along with technological innovations in the future, Kim believes that solutions for various health-related problems in the space environment are vital. Accordingly, Boryung is proactively investing in space infrastructure and discovering new technologies in the space healthcare sector with a mission of becoming 'the most needed healthcare company for humanity's health.'

Boryung has recently led the series C funding round of Axiom Space, which plans to build the first private space station. It also supports promising global startups and researchers through the Humans In Space (HIS) program in 2023, followed by the successfully hosted Care In Space Challenge in 2022. The HIS initiative aspires to enhance human life in space and harness the potential of space environments to address terrestrial challenges.

Kim earned a B.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and worked at KPMG before Boryung. He is also a board member of Axiom Space.
