Manu Nair

Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems • Post Doctoral Research Associate

Dr. Manu Harikrishnan Nair received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in India in 2018, and his MSc in Mechatronics from the University of Glasgow in 2019. He was awarded a PhD in Space Robotics from the University of Lincoln in April 2024 for his research on enabling future in-orbit missions using next-generation walking robotic manipulators. Currently, Dr. Nair is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Space and Fusion Robotics at the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems (L-CAS) at the University of Lincoln. His research focuses on the in-orbit assembly of large high-value infrastructures, including but not limited to large aperture space telescopes and space-based solar power generation satellites. Additionally, Dr. Nair is conducting research on robotic disassembly for decommissioning activities within the nuclear fusion industry.
