National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)Strategy & Architecture Lead for Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate

Ms. Merancy is a systems engineer with extensive background in human spaceflight and spacecraft. She is currently the Strategy & Architecture Lead for Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters. She is responsible for the team of engineers and analysts designing, developing, and integrating NASA’s Moon to Mars human spaceflight architecture.

Her work experience includes mission planning and design, systems integration, test and verification, vehicle performance analysis, guidance, navigation, & control, requirements engineering, and real-time operations. She has supported various roles spanning the International Space Station Program from 2002 to 2008, MPCV-Orion Program from 2009 until 2018, Exploration Systems Division from 2018 to 2019, and as the Exploration Mission Planning Division Chief for NASA Johnson Space Center from 2019 through 2022.
