2008 UN/IAF Workshop Round Table

At the end of the UN/IAF Workshop, Integrated Space Technology Applications Support to Managing Potentially Hazardous Events, a concluding Round Table discussion was organised with participation of top-level representatives of space agencies, civil protection agencies and other relevant institutions and organisations from both space faring and non-space faring countries. It was set up in order to establish a direct dialogue with the Workshop participants on how space technologies and policies can contribute to hazard management programmes in developing countries. The Round Table attempted to draw conclusions and to formulate recommendations that will serve as an input to the IAC Plenary Event on this topic to take place on Wednesday, 1 October 2008.
