Space Renaissance International (SRI) is a not for profit cultural association, promoting the expansion of civilization into outer space. Our focus is to kick-off civilian space development before 2030, by boosting priority of some scientific research strains, to allow civilians – not only trained astronauts – to travel, work and live in space for long time or permanently. Namely: life protection from cosmic radiations, simulated gravity, green environment in space habitats, low cost fully reusable space vehicles, producing fuel in space. The Space Renaissance Academy develops continuous outreach and education programmes, by means of its laboratories (Space Philosophy, Space Development, Space Art) and Committees, open to SRI members and non-members. SRI is a philosophical association, rooted on space humanism, based on membership, activism and volunteer work. SRI addresses the society at large, not only the space community, and is developing a partnership network, with space advocacy organizations having similar goals and mission.
